SPRING HILL Ashley McGinley was arrested early Monday morning after striking her brother’s hand while he was eating dinner, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

McGinley, 23, was booked on charges of domestic battery. The arrest report stated McGinley was “out of control” and was yelling in both her brother and mother’s face before she hit the victim’s hand, causing his food to fall on the floor.

Court records show McGinley had adjudication withheld in a 2008 case for possession of marijuana. The Deborah Drive woman was found guilty of driving with a suspended license in 2010; possession of marijuana and a controlled substance in 2011; and falsely reporting a crime in December of 2012.
