BROOKSVILLE - Brooksville police arrested an alleged burglar in the act early Wednesday morning at Tactical Supply on Smith Street.

Officers responded to the store at 490 Smith St. shortly before 2 a.m., and saw Jesse Prindle "digging through the cash register," according to an arrest report.

Prindle, 18, ran out the back door of the store and was arrested. The man was found with three tactical knives, and later admitted to prying his way in through a back door.

Prindle was booked on charges of armed burglary to a structure, and is being held on $10,000 bond.

Court records show Prindle was released from jail seven days ago after serving a month and a half on two misdemeanor theft charges.
