BROOKSVILLE - Thousands lined downtown Brooksville's streets on Saturday morning to watch the Kiwanis Club of Brooksville's 39th annual Christmas Parade.

The 2013 theme was "We are the World, We are the Children."

The 130 floats in the parade included local government and businesses, youth and church groups. Monster truck and Jeep caravans also participated, as well as marching bands, dancers.

Horses and adoptable dogs also made an appearance.

The Accuform Signs float gave Floridian children a taste of December up north, spraying "snow" into the crowd and paving the way for Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Brooksville Police Chief George Turner estimated the crowd at more than 5,000.
