BROOKSVILLE - Two women and one man from Dade City were arrested Tuesday evening after a neighbor spotted them breaking into a house on Ponce de Leon Boulevard.

Floyd Patterson, 56, Tonya Patterson, 36 and Darlene Romero, 48, were spotted walking down Ponce De Leon by responding deputies. An eyewitness identified the trio as the burglars.

The suspects later told law enforcement their vehicle was stolen and they were looking for help.

After being arrested, Floyd Patterson said he climbed over a fence to the residence for a drink of water. Tonya Patterson and Romero admitted they broke into the home and took items, which were later left at the house while they fled.

All three were arrested on charges of burglary to an unoccupied residence, and are being held on $15,000 bond each.
