Traffic stop leads to drug arrest of Spring Hill man

SPRING HILL -

A traffic stop in a man’s driveway led to his arrest for crack cocaine possession Tuesday evening, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Dane Jenkins wrote in his report that Michael David Snow, 47, appeared nervous and smelled like marijuana. Snow was seen “leaning over and reaching toward the passenger floorboard area,” and a vehicle search later found a mint tin with crack cocaine inside.

After Snow was arrested on charges of crack cocaine possession, law enforcement spoke with Snow’s wife, who said she did not know her husband used crack cocaine.

Snow was released on $5,000 bond later Tuesday night.

Court records show Snow was found guilty of a DUI in 2006.
