BROOKSVILLE - The 2013 Veteran's Appreciation Parade will take place on Saturday morning in downtown Brooksville.

Brooksville Police Sgt. Ed Serrano, who recently returned from his third tour of duty, will ride in the lead car, according to City Manager Jennene Norman-Vacha.

Several roads will be closed to traffic during the parade, which starts at 10 a.m. and lasts one hour.

The route starts out at Brooksville City Hall, turns on to Main Street and crosses Jefferson and Broad Streets. The parade turns left on to Liberty Street, left on Magnolia Street and left on Fort Dade Avenue, finishing at City Hall.
