Weeki Wachee woman arrested for crack, narcotics possession

SPRING HILL A Weeki Wachee woman was arrested Saturday on charges of possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without a driverís license.

Bobbi J. Aldridge, 43, got a sheriffís deputyís attention Saturday while driving southbound in the middle of Crescent Road from Century Drive in a white Pontiac Grand AM without a seat belt on.

The deputy pulled Aldridge over and asked for her driverís license, at which time she said she didnít have one, according to an arrest report. When the deputy asked to search the vehicle, Aldridge agreed, and as she was getting out of the car she had her right hand in her right back pocket, and pulled out a tissue. The deputy noted that it appeared as though Aldridge was trying to conceal something in her hand.

When the deputy asked what was in her right hand, she put the item in her left hand, and then opened her right hand. Aldridge then opened her left hand where the clear glass pipe with burnt residue on the end was, saying it was a crack pipe. The deputy then tried to detain Aldridge, and Aldridge tried to throw the crack pipe into a wooded lot, according to the arrest report.

Aldridge was detained and placed in the back of the deputyís patrol vehicle, then a K-9 deputy arrived on scene, searching the vehicle and finding also a small white 8 milligram hydromorphone pill on the driverís seat and the back floor board on the passenger side, and three white rock like substances in the back passenger seat, which field tested positive for cocaine. The pipe also field tested positive for cocaine.

A computer check revealed Aldridge has no valid driver's license, and she was transported to the Hernando County jail and placed on a total bond amount of $10,750.
