Woman arrested after parking lot disturbance in Spring Hill

Published:

SPRING HILL - A Spring Hill woman who made a drunken disturbance in the area of Commercial Way at Applegate Drive was arrested early Monday, deputies said.

Martha Renee Stevens, 50, was running around and yelling that she was being "chased and physically attacked by people," according to an arrest affidavit, and disturbed staff and patrons from the nearby businesses.

When law enforcement arrived on scene, Stevens charged at Deputy Daniel Snyder, calling him "the devil" and "Satan" and that he was there to "kill" her, an arrest affidavit shows.

Stevens tried to kick the deputy as he attempted to put her in handcuffs, and said Snyder was "going to die for this."

Jail records show Stevens was held on $500 bail.
