SPRING HILL - A Spring Hill woman was arrested on a domestic battery charge Thursday after allegedly biting her boyfriend to stop him from sending a text message.

An arrest report shows Amanda Marie Robles, 22, of Spring Haven Loop, was in a verbal argument with her live-in boyfriend until he attempted to send an incriminating text message with his cellphone to Robles' father regarding her alleged use of marijuana.

Robles was on her knees when she took her boyfriend's phone and tucked it underneath her to prevent him from sending the message, the report said.

When her boyfriend attempted to reach under her, and get his phone, she bit the inside of his lower left arm, "leaving clear bite marks in the injured area," the report said.

Robles told deputies she and her boyfriend had been arguing, and she took his phone so he could not send a text message to her dad, according to the report.

"However, (she) could not recall if she bit (her boyfriend), but said she might have," a deputy wrote.
