Woman convicted of manslaughter arrested in Citrus County

BROOKSVILLE - A woman serving felony probation for a manslaughter conviction was booked at the Hernando County Jail on Wednesday.

Angela Dosal, 43, was convicted of manslaughter in 2003 and sentenced to 10 years in prison, according to court records. News reports at the time show Dosal stabbed her boyfriend, Jonathan Bissonnette, after a day of drinking and fishing on a pontoon boat in the Gulf.

She was originally charged with murder, and pleaded no contest to the lesser charge in a plea deal. Department of Corrections data show Dosal served 8 years in prison, and was on probation until 2016.

According to the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Dosal, who lives in Dunnellon, was arrested for domestic battery on Jan. 25 after striking her daughter in the face and pulling out clumps of her hair.

Bail was not set, and she is set to be arraigned on Feb. 25, court records show.
