Local hospital CEO requested to serve second term

Oak Hill Hospital's CEO, Mickey Smith, was asked to serve a second three year term on the Board of Directors of the Medical Group Management Association at their annual meeting in Denver, Colorado. This board comprises the nation's leading medical group practice professionals.

This year's annual meeting was also attended by local healthcare professionals Eugene Moynihan of the West Coast Musculoskeletal Institute, Carmen Nan, MD, and Rob Foreman.

Mr. Smith is a board certified medical practice executive. The Medical Group Management Association is the premiere membership association for professional administrators and leaders of medical group practices. Since 1926 MGMA has delivered networking, professional education and resources and political advocacy for medical practice management. Today MGMA's 22,500 members lead 13,600 organizations nationwide in which some 280,000 physicians provided more than 40 percent of the healthcare services delivered in the United States.
