BROOKSVILLE -

State Sen. Wilton Simpson, R-Trilby, announced Thursday the opening of a district office in Brooksville at 10 W. Jefferson St., according to a release from Simpson's office.

Patty Harrison, a longtime aide of former-senator J.D. Alexander with more than 40 years of state government experience, will serve as chief legislative aide at the office.

"We're hosting an open house on Jan. 8," Simpson said. "And I welcome constituents to drop in and meet myself and my staff."

Details about the open house will be provided at a later date, according to the release.

Simpson's other staff includes Judy Parker, serving as district office manager in the New Port Richey Office. Parker has been active in the Pasco community for decades. Patrick Weightman is serving as Sen. Simpson's traveling legislative assistant. Weightman will be in Tallahassee for committee weeks and the legislative session. Rachel Perrin Rogers is serving as Simpson's chief aide in Tallahassee, handling legislative requests and public relations.
