More double speak

When is a tax not a tax but rather a penalty? When the administration and its minions all read and regurgitate their talking points.

For months and even years the Obama Care debacle was never referred to as new tax on the American public. The president himself said many times that if you made less than $250,000 a year your taxes would not increase one penny. So the Supreme Court rules that Obamacare is legal under the Constitution's taxing authority.

Now the party faithful are running around saying it is not a tax but rather a penalty. Watching Nancy Pelosi on a Sunday news show, as she responded to a question about the new Tax, give such a tortured and convoluted answer that it was not a tax but it was a penalty under the taxing power of the government.

Even though the Solicitor General of the United States argued before the Supreme Court that it , Obama Care, should be upheld because it indeed was a tax and not a penalty; a majority of the court agreed on that point and said it was a Tax; case closed! So we have another blatant untruth put forth by the administration along with "cutting the deficit in half by the end of its first term" "and "supporting traditional marriage."

Just wait till the mind-numbed followers of the "prevaricator-in-chief begin to get their tax bills because they haven't purchased health insurance or the one prescribed by the government and will be harassed by the IRS who will serve them their tax bill.

Then if they don't pay it will become a tax with an added penalty for non-payment. The tax will increase in severity beginning in 2014 and will increase yearly until its final levy is reached. There are over 25 new Taxes associated with "Obamacare" that will also start to kick in beginning in 2014.

It was a clever deception of the American people to have the taxes begin after the 2012 elections while instituting some popularist mandates such as allowing children to remain on their parents insurance until age 26 along with not allowing insurance companies to deny coverage because of a pre-existing condition.

All those actions are going to drive up the cost of the insurance premiums until there are no private insurers left and the leftist will reach their goal of a single payer health insurance run completely by the government. Make no mistake about this because that is and was the goal of the left and they have now the vehicle to reach it.

If it is not repealed we can look forward to our health care becoming like the UK or Canada where long waits are common to see specialist  and rationing of care to the elderly is commonplace. In other words we are looking at legal euthanasia performed by our own government on its most vulnerable citizens. Thank-you Democrats and the Supreme Court!
