We have been following the Fast & Furious debacle for almost a year and it has now escalated to a higher level.

There is no doubt that other than the Congressional committee investigating the Fast & Furious debacle and one major news outlet the rest of the main street media has ignored it. It was passed over as a witch-hunt, an overzealous committee chairman and not a very important issue to the country.

Forget the fact that 1,400 guns of all assorted kinds found their way into the hands of the Mexican drug cartels with the acquiescence of the ATF who at first denied it but later had to retract its denial. This most egregious program is directly responsible for the deaths of scores of Mexican citizens and most importantly the death of American Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

Two years after the death of Agent Terry, where two of the "walking guns" were found at the scene of the murder, the ATF, DOJ, FBI have not found the killer of killers. What they are good at is stonewalling and talking in riddles and sometimes lying to the committees.

After all the sessions that Attorney General holder gave testimony at he moved his lips and really said nothing. He claimed he never knew about the project then later admitted he may have talked to some staff members about it but no one has been held responsible. If it were not for a whistle blower who came forth AG Holder may have gotten away with his lies.

For eight months the AG has been reluctant to produce the documents that the committee has asked for. Of course the AG Eric Holder blamed the previous administration and even said that former President Bush's Attorney General knew about the Fast & Furious program.

However, when pushed to produce evidence to that claim Holder retracted that statement. Now comes the highpoint of this fiasco. The Attorney General writes a letter to the President Obama and says "HELP" asking that the president claim executive privilege and deny access of the requested documents to Congress…and the president agrees and claims the privilege.

While all along the president claimed he had no knowledge of Fast & Furious and never spoke to the Attorney General about it. That begs the question that if he never discussed it with the AG or was briefed on the program….Why does he need executive privilege for something he was not privy too?

There is no doubt that the president (Obama) who roundly chastised George W. Bush for exerting the executive privilege during the Plame affair and said the president should just allow his staff to be questioned tell the truth. It is a classic example of do as I say but not as I do.

Well Mr. President it is time for you to come clean and let the Congress and the American people see the requested documents or are they too hot and damming for the public to see. Me thinks he doth protest too much!
