BROOKSVILLE Two Pasco County women were arrested Thursday on charges of disorderly intoxication after causing a disturbance at Mariner Plaza.

Samantha Hurst, 21, Zephryhills, and Shannon Shumar, 43, New Port Richey, were each charged with one count of disorderly intoxication. Hurst was also charged with child neglect.

According to the report, both women were inside Halloween Spirit where they were coming on to store employees.

Hurst then grabbed a random customer and kissed him.

Both women then exited the store and walked to a nearby liquor store, according to the report.

When deputies arrived both women were being loud and belligerent toward patrons entering the liquor store.

One witness told deputies that Hurst propositioned an elderly man who entered the store promising sexual favors if he purchased alcohol for her, the report said. Hurst had a child in a stroller with her during the incident. Deputies said both women were too intoxicated to care for the child.

Hurst struggled as she was placed in the back of the patrol car where she attempted to kick out the rear window and slammed her head against the window numerous times, the report said. Both women were transported to the jail without further incident.
