Annual summit to tackle youth challenges

BROOKSVILLE Business leaders, community advocates and others with a vested interest in education are invited to an annual summit to discuss how to tackle challenges facing today's children and teens.

The last chance to register for the fifth annual Summit for Youth & Families will take place at 8 a.m. Thursday at Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, located at 200 Mt. Fair Avenue in Brooksville.

The Summit is free and open to the public.

The event will then kick off from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with participants working through action plans to tackle challenges affecting today's youth, according to the event press release.

Topics to be covered at the summit include:

Those who attend are expected to participate in group discussions and will be asked to volunteer to join committees that will meet throughout the year to tackle those issues.
