BROOKSVILLE -

A man seen by neighbors pulling a wagon filled with bags of stolen items was later arrested on charges of burglary and dealing in stolen property.

Steven Alan Casler, 32, of 18152 Evening Star Ave., was found in possession of the items Tuesday night after deputies searched his home, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.

The house that was burglarized was located down the block from Casler's home.

Deputies said they began investigating after the property owner noticed several of his and his wife's belongings missing and contacted the sheriff's office.

Neighbors said they saw Casler pulling a wagon in the area of the accuser's house, according to an arrest affidavit.

Among the stolen items were a laptop, bowling bag, cell phone, speaker set, skateboard, beer bong, camera and a "Behind Closed Doors" board game, deputies said.

Casler has a lengthy arrest record, including numerous counts of battery and violation of probation, according to Hernando County Jail records.

He was held at the jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
