BROOKSVILLE -

A 19-year-old man was charged with felony domestic battery following allegations he put his father in a choke hold during an argument Tuesday night.

Cody Dean Graham, of 11075 Knuckey Road, was arrested later that night at the 7-Eleven at the corner of State Road 50 and Wiscon Road, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.

The fight earlier that night was witnessed by Graham's brother, who pulled the suspect off his father, deputies said.

The accuser spoke to deputies and said he had argued with this son when the latter grabbed him in a choke hold, using his left arm, and cut off his air supply, according to an arrest affidavit.

Graham's father left the home, went to a neighbor's house and contacted the sheriff's office.

Graham had left the premises by the time authorities arrived, deputies said.

The suspect was transported to the Hernando County Jail and held without bond.

Graham had been convicted of domestic battery in June 2008 and again in February 2009, according to the sheriff's office.
