Spring Hill woman questioned over rims, booked on RX drug charges

Published:

SPRING HILL - The Hernando County Sheriff's Office approached Tracy Ganzer on Monday evening because of her "shiny rims," according to an arrest affidavit.

Because of an "influx of tire and rim thefts in the area," Deputy Brian Schneider approached Ganzer, 41, in the parking lot of Walgreens at 7305 Spring Hill Drive.

Ganzer was slurring her words and shaking, according to the deputy, and acting nervous. Ganzer told the deputy she was just hanging out with friends in a van, which did not belong to her.

The Spring Hill woman agreed to a search of her purse, which contained three Oxycodone pills, four Methadone and four Morphine tablets.

Ganzer was arrested on three charges of possession of a controlled substance without a perscription, and remains in the Hernando County Jail on $1,500 bond.

Court records show Ganzer had her adjudication withheld on a 2010 misdemeanor charge of retail theft.
